We Launched a Podcast — and It's All About Getting the Most Out of Karbon
If you've spent any time in the accounting world, you've probably heard of Karbon. It's one of the most powerful practice management platforms out there for accounting and bookkeeping firms — but like a lot of powerful tools, there's a big difference between using it and truly getting the most out of it.
That's exactly why my friend and fellow industry veteran Max Ducharme and I launched the Working Theory Podcast.
What Is Working Theory?
Working Theory is the unofficial podcast for accounting firms that are serious about maximizing their Karbon experience. Max and I have spent years working in and around accounting firms, and we kept having the same conversations — about what's working, what isn't, and how to get more value out of the tools firms are already paying for.
We figured we weren't the only ones asking those questions. So we started recording.
What to Expect
We're planning to drop new episodes every couple of weeks, covering everything from workflow strategy to platform updates to real-world tips you can put into practice right away.
In fact, two of our first episodes dive straight into the deep end — we cover the last two major Karbon releases, including the March 31st update that brought Karbon AI out of beta and made it available to all customers. We also break down a mini-release that didn't make the official release notes page: a rich text editor added directly to Triage.
Why This Matters for Your Firm
Karbon releases updates regularly, and it can be hard to keep up with what's new, what's changed, and what's actually worth your attention. Our goal with Working Theory is to cut through the noise and give you a practical, plain-English take on what each update means for your firm.
No fluff. No filler. Just two people who genuinely love this stuff talking about how to make your practice run better.
Listen Now
You can find Working Theory on YouTube — we'd love for you to give it a listen and let us know what you think. And if there are topics you want us to cover, we're all ears. This podcast is for Karbon users, and we want it to reflect what you actually care about.
